E. Bourassa & Sons is looking for a Service Writer/Receptionist in our Weyburn location.

REPORTS TO: Service Manager


  • Answering phone system
  • Paging employees on a store wide speaker system
  • Using a 2-way radio to contact employees
  • Taking and delivering messages
  • Greeting customers as they come in the store
  • Distributing incoming mail
  • Reconciling accounts including daily cash reconciliation
  • Handling repair order charges, warranty validation & claims coverages including computation of charges, submission and follow-up
  • Maintain the service library with information that is current
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager and maintain control until closed and invoiced
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Handles service department filing and records
  • Completes other duties as assigned


  • Must have outgoing, friendly personality and superior communication & customer service skills
  • Ability to write and work on routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to negotiate customer complaints to a satisfactory resolution
  • Good computer skills
  • Knowledge of office procedures
  • Good organizational ability
  • General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is an asset


  • 1- 2 years experience in Reception or Service Writer Role Preferred
  • Experience in working with spreadsheets
  • Experience working in a service department is an asset
  • Experience with common dealership or point of sale computer systems
  • Experience in working with accounts payable
